Excellent food at affordable prices...friendly service... you can't go wrong...great weekday happy hour specials ...
I had the assorted sushi, very tasty and light! Great customer service, polite and generous.
I’ve been going here for 20 even before they moved to Main Street. The food here is the best in Visalia. It beats out every Japanese restaurant in Tulare county and the best part is they are not a chain restaurant. The price is worth it.
Delicious as usual! Never disappointed.
One of my favorite Sushi joints. That paradise roll is to die for
I waited over 30 min and the only thing I got was a miso soup. When I asked where my food was, the staff brought it 10 min later. They had completely forgotten about me. The service was slower than a snail and the food was not worth the price. I don't know if it was because I am young or if they didn't care. People coming in after me where being served while I had to wait. Not worth it.
Always good authentic Japanese food
I wish I could comment on the food. Unfortunately, I was not able to try anything. My party of three arrived about 7:30 on a Friday evening. This was our first visit, and we had heard good things about Tachibana. The sign in the entry said Please Wait to be Seated. There were several tables open, but all of them were dirty. So we waited for someone (anyone) to greet us... And we waited... And waited. For ten minutes we stood in the entry, during which time I made direct eye contact with at least three of the people who were working. Not one time did anyone greet us, let us know how long the wait would be, no one even came close enough that I could approach them to ask about a table. Finally, highly irritated, and a little embarrassed after standing there like a fool, being ignored, we decided to venture elsewhere...
We are incredibly lucky in Visalia to have some of the best restaurants anywhere and Tachibana is one of my favorites. David, the owner, is very hands-on and crafts the incredible sushi personally. I've never experienced better tempura; it's very crispy without being greasy or over-battered. The sukiyaki and ramen are both complex in flavor yet simple in the way a good soup should be. Everything is delicious and actually reasonably priced for the quality of food.
Great Japanese restaurant! The bento box is really cool and allot of food. Thier sushi is very good too! Check them out!!
This place was amazing! It was cute inside, updated decor and not dirty at all. We went at around 12 and barely anyone was there which was nice cause it was quiet. The service was great and the employees were beyond nice! They have a good lunch special for $8.75, you can get rice, salad, chicken, soup, and your choice of a California roll or potstickers. Would highly recommend!
Delicious rolls, wonderful Nigiri style sushi, perfectly crisp tempura and the best teriyaki in town. I only give 4 out of 5 stars due to a horribly incompetent waitress that still works there to this day. She is a hefty Latin woman who looks dreary and confused at all times. She moves slowly, gets orders wrong, sometimes just stops working and hovers around the hard-working sushi chefs, she never smiles and has the personality of an old shoe. Great food, love the owner and the chefs, but this lady is a depressing liability for the restaraunt.
Great owner and great sushi
The best in town are waitress Nashi is the best 😉
Great food! Me and the family eat there all the time, always tastes fresh. Place is clean and owner is friendly.
Awesome food awesome service love coming here
Authentic Mexican food with a huge menu - don't waste your time with chain burrito restaurants. This is the real deal!
We love this place!!!!
I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!Great Sushi (Both roll & Nigiri)
Always a great meal. One of our favorites.
The udon and the fried shrimp are excellent
Best sushi
The best Japanese food ever excellent thank you
this place is bomb as shyt, just is always closed 😭
Best sushi in the valley!
Had the ramen and teriyaki chicken. Everything was good.
Always great food! Been here multiple times and have not been disappointed a single time. Quick service and consistent food. Amazing and friendly staff. Thank you for the memories and stuffed bellies. Can't wait to eat the BK Roll again. I think I order it every time I've been here. I wish I didn't have a shellfish allergy so I could try the tempura. I think the only bad thing is parking but what can you expect with downtown Visalia. The walk to and from the car fittest helps me get ready to eat and then settles my food in for the drive home to Lemoore. 10/10 will continue to come back.
Best professional staff and service, David and his newer location is much closer and convenient for me and my family, the best Saba ever will great prices and excellent food with a family like environment.
I love this place....David ..the owner..is hands on ...preparing the meals... The atmosphere is great...my favorite place....
Real Japanese fare.
Monday thru Thursday amazing sushi Happy Hour beers as well. Definitely a must!
Went here for dinner and we loved our sushi but went here again for lunch and it was not that good.
My grandparents turned me on to this place when I was younger. I've returned the favor by taking my wife and children there. Heck even followed them to downtown area. On top of eating there often it was a every birthday event to eat there (family of five) .Went there for my middle child's 21st birthday. Walked in and waited for 10 minutes. We had to get our own menus, seat ourselves while they helped the couple behind us .Sat and waited another 10 minutes just to find out they raised they're prices. Best Japanese food in town but the WORST SERVICE IN TOWN...Went too black bear diner got rite in ...im eating my food as we speak......kick rocks tachibana you have lost a loyal customer
Came here on a Thursday evening at around 7.45pm and it was not too crowded and gotta love the atmosphere. Ordered sushi and a chicken & tempera Bento box and my kids love the crispy tender chickens and my wife and I love the sushi. Overall, the price is reasonable for the downtown location and the amount of foods served to us was plenty as it was what we paid for!! No complaints as our family will return and I highly recommended this restaurant to everyone...!
I really don't know how this place has good reviews. They must be paying someone. The wait was about 45 min for us to get our first plate of sushi which the scallops were frozen so they took them back and they were warmed as if the microwaved it. Ever had microwave sushi? Yeah, not good. Then we waited another 20 minutes for a cucumber roll. Yes CUCUMBER.... We ended up cancelling the rest and leaving. Overpriced dog food. Would not recommend.
Always good food and service.
great food fresh which you dont get much here in visalia other places i tried are not so fresh and talk about quality delicious good keep up the great work guys
One of my favorite places to get sushi.
Sushi was good. I had the ramen also, though, and it wasnt that great.
Great sushi selection. No need for fancy, complicated, crazy rolls. Just great simple fish that's done well.
Amazing food and service the atmosphere is unique and amazing
Great food just like Hawai.
I've been going to Tachibana for decades. My dad took me and now I take my daughter. Just as how this restaurant has been passed down from father to son it is THE best spot of sushi in a fantastic friendly atmosphere.
One of the very few places in the Central Valley to get authentic Japanese food. They also serve shoyu and miso ramen if you have a craving for some good ramen but don't want to drive 4 hours for some Daikokuya ramen. It's not as fatty as Daikokuya ramen but it'll do the job to quench your craving. Their menu has enough options so that everyone (even vegetarians) will be able to find something enjoyable. Depending what time you go there is sometimes a bit of a wait time but it's definitely worth it for the food!
Came for lunch. Four other customers were there. Waiter came back to us *five* times to confirm my order, which was the "Sushi Lunch". It then took thirty-five minutes to receive our food. Extremely disorganized vibe. Staff barely competent. We just got the sense that no one was in charge. Where's the manager?
Tachibana will always be my favorite restaurant in Visalia. To this day they are the only place that consistently gets a simple cup of Miso soup right. The teriyaki is always well marinated and cooked delicately. The tempura is perfectly battered and always crispy. The rolls are delicious and innovative (I love the Crunchy Monkey) but they offer all the great classics as well. I give the decor and ambiance a 10 out of 10, they did a phenomenal job in renovating the establishment. My only complaint is that sometimes they can be understaffed for how many patrons are currently dining, but it is hard balancing the right amount of waitresses/waiters for a downtown restaurant. Anyone involved in the food industry here in Visalia knows there are no patterns and that business can go up and down without mercy. Thank you Tachibana for re-opening and bringing high quality Japanese cuisine to our downtown.
The food is constantly well prepared and tasty, workers hands out good service. I love the cleanliness and character. Keep up the good work.
The best spicy crab rolls in town! I love the teriyaki chicken! We have come here for over 18 years. The best in town!
Amazing sushi and the only place to get good Ramen in the area. The food is very well prepared but service could be a bit quicker but the food makes up for that a bit.
Best Japanese food in town!
